FSSA Conformation Judge

Ms. Bonnie Linnell Clarke from Holly Springs, North Carolina

In 1969, I purchased my first Doberman Pinscher at 8 weeks of age, he became BIS/BISS Ch. Rosevale’s Dark Temptation.  In 1972, I purchased a Whippet to replace my pet Pomeranian.  Until 1988, there were always at least five Dobermans and five Whippets, plus a Burmese and Tonkinese cat in residence.  I also raised a Champion male Rottweiler. Although I bred on a very limited basis, I have owned three BIS Doberman Pinschers and one BIS Whippet. 

In 1972, I obtained an AKC Limited Handing License for 42 breeds.  Ten years later, finding handling increasingly more tiring and less rewarding, I ceased handling and applied for approval to judge Doberman Pinschers and Whippets.  In 1997, I put my judging career on hold and left my position at Aetna Life & Casualty to join the American Kennel Club as Assistant Director of Judging Operations in Raleigh, NC. 

I returned to judging in 1999 and currently am approved to judge the Working Group, the Hound Group, the Sporting Group, the Toy Group and BIS

Professionally, I was an IT Logistics Project Manager at Aetna Life & Casualty’s corporate headquarters in Hartford, CT.

I continue to live in the Raleigh, NC area and I am currently owned by a 3 pound Chihuahua and a Singapura cat.
